St. Michael im Lungau is actually nestled between two ski areas. The lifts to the Aineck-Katschberg ski area are on the southern side, while on the other side of the valley, the Sonnenbahn – the new 8-passenger gondola lift – will carry you to the top of Großeck-Speiereck "Adventure Mountain".

With your valid LUNGO ski pass, during standard lift hours you are also entitled to ride buses in the Lungau at no charge and without restriction; be that for shopping, cross-country skiing, hiking or sledding.
