Winter Hikes in the Lungau Holiday region
Nordic walking in summer gives way to hiking in winter. Heading towards Oberweissburg, for example, the path leads from our apartments, past Egidi Chapel in the direction of Fell, where the Blasiwirt beckons you to enjoy a pleasant break for refreshments.
Snowshoeing presents the opportunity to venture even further out into nature. Pros in the region will be happy to provide you with a few equipment tips and route recommendations, and invite you to join them on their own guided snowshoe expeditions!
Sledding
Fun and games in the snow! That’s the clear message for all sledders, whether young or young-at-heart. Two maintained sledding hills – in St. Michael and on the Katschberg – give you the opportunity to conclude a laid-back evening at a mountain hut with a high-spirited ride back to the valley below.

Ice Skating and “Ice Stock”
The sport of ice stock looks back on a long tradition here in Lungau. For some it’s more of a science, for others just pure fun. Though always well worth giving a try! If you prefer to enjoy a few hours on blades, we would recommend our two skating and ice-stock rinks in St. Michael, where great entertainment is guaranteed!
